In the “Annual Children in Armed Conflict” report prepared by the UN for the period January-December 2022, it was indicated that the PKK terrorist organization and its Syrian extension SDG and YPG used more than 1,200 children as soldiers in 2022.

In the report, it was claimed that 2,407 children were severely raped in Syria, and 1,696 children were claimed to have been used as soldiers or for different purposes by the YPG/PKK terrorist organization and other armed groups.

“THE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN INSTALLED”

In the report, it was noted that 637 children were recruited from the Syrian branch of the PKK, the SDG, and 633 children from structures affiliated with the YPG/PKK and SDF.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, whose views are included in the report, said: “I am extremely concerned about the use of children as soldiers by the HPG/PKK. I urge you to stop using children as soldiers and for other purposes and to release all children in your ranks.” he used the phrase. (AA)
