Terrifying explosion in Paris: many injured
Edouard Civel, deputy mayor of the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the capital of France, said on Twitter that an explosion occurred in the Val de Grace neighborhood due to a gas leak.

Civel, who affirmed that a fire broke out in several departments, urged the population of the region to stay away from the place so that the firefighters intervene.
French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin also announced on Twitter that the fire was continuing in the region’s Saint-Jacques street and that firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
According to French press reports, at least 16 people were injured in the incident and a building was destroyed.
The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, also attended the place. The Paris Prosecutor’s Office stated that the cause of the explosion is still not clearly known. There are 230 firefighters and 9 doctors at the site. AA
