British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will invite businessmen and companies to a conference next week to support Ukraine not only vocally, but also financially. Reuters reports. The invitation is intended to support Ukraine in its reconstruction.
“Ukraine’s bravado on the battlefield must be matched with a private sector vision that will help the country rebuild itself,” Sunak said in the speech, which has already been released from his office. “A financially stronger and more technologically advanced Ukraine will be better able to bring Russia back to its borders.”

At the two-day conference – which starts on Wednesday – Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky, among others, will make a virtual appearance. Also present were US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission.
The UK and other Western allies have already supplied the Ukrainian government with billions of dollars in aid and weapons since Russia invaded the country on Feb. 24, 2022. Moscow is still maintaining the excuse that it is a “special military operation”.
