Death toll rises in ‘hunger cult’ investigation
The commissioner of the Coastal District, Rhoda Onyancha, in statements to the press, announced that new corpses were found in the investigation of the “cult of hunger”, which led its followers to death on an empty stomach and lost their lives.
Onyancha announced that new bodies were found in the investigation in which sect leader Paul Mackenzie was accused of terrorism, bringing the number of bodies to 303.

Good News International Church Pastor Mackenzie’s church starved the town of Hz. An investigation has been launched into the allegation that he caused the deaths of many people by promising them they would meet Jesus.
The cult leader, Mackenzie, told the police at the beginning of the investigation that they would arrive at the corpses of 1000 people.
Since the start of the operation, 45 arrests have been made against the sect, while 95 people have been rescued alive from the forest. (AA)
