Iran and Venezuela sign 25 agreements
Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi met with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as part of his official visit. The president was received with an official act in the garden of Miraflores, the Presidential Palace in the capital Caracas.
In the statement issued by the press department of the Presidency on the occasion of the visit, the strategic relationship between the two countries was highlighted and the statement was included: “The dialogue, which aims to strengthen strategic alliances based on the principles of friendship, solidarity and mutual respect, is part of joint efforts to expand cooperation based on common development.”
After the heads-up and the meeting between delegations, the leaders proceeded to the signing ceremony of the agreements between the two countries at the Miraflores Palace. Within the scope of the “Venezuela-Iran High Level Mixed Commission”, the trade goal between the two countries was set at 10,000 million dollars.
ORGANIZATION ‘EL LIBERTADOR’ TO THE PRESIDENT
During the ceremony, cooperation agreements were signed in many fields, including the fields of communication and technology, agriculture, transportation, aviation, maritime, and energy.
After the signing ceremony, Maduro presented the President with the First Class “El Libertador” medal. Expressing in his speech his pleasure to be in Venezuela, the president expressed: “I present my respects and respects to the wise, noble and valuable people of Venezuela, who are resisting cruel imperialism. We are friends of difficult times, ”he said.
Venezuelan President Maduro also referred to the integration of the two cultures and stated that 25 agreements have been signed with Iran and are currently being negotiated. Describing the Chief’s visit as historic, Maduro said that investments in energy, oil, gas, gold, technology and health between the two countries must be increased and that they want to get the most out of this visit.
Explaining that Iran and Venezuela have built a relationship based on solidarity, brotherhood and cooperation, Maduro said: “Two peoples were born to make two revolutions and be brothers.” Recalling that there are daily direct flights between Turkey and Venezuela, Maduro stated that they want the same thing to happen between Venezuela and Iran in the future.
