North Korean leader’s heartfelt letter to Putin: I will hold your hand tightly
North Korean President Kim Jong-un used candid expressions in his letter to Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia Day.
According to news from North Korea’s official KNCA news agency, Kim, in his letter to the Russian leader, stated that they will further increase their strategic cooperation with Moscow, saying: “Of course, justice will win and the Russian people will add a new glorious success to the history of victories”.
Noting that the goal of a strong country is the common desire of the two countries, Kim said, “I will take the hand of the Russian leader firmly in line with the great goal of the people of the two countries to establish a strong country.” Describing the ties between his country and Russia as a “valuable strategic relationship,” the North Korean leader reiterated that his country is with Russia in the Russia-Ukraine war, saying they will continue to “provide full support and solidarity.”
North Korea, which was the target of backlash with nuclear missile tests against the Western alliance, had been one of the countries that gave the most support to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which brought the world to its feet. Pyongyang argued that the effort by the United States and the West to establish hegemony was the most important reason for the war.
As the international community imposed an embargo on Russia because of the war in Ukraine, the claim that Pyongyang sent weapons to Moscow was on the agenda.
