Floods in Ukraine: 1,339 people evacuated
Rescue work continues in flooded areas after the collapse of the Kakhovka dam in Ukraine, and evacuation in risk areas.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine issued an appeal to the people of the region, stating that the police and Emergency Teams (DSNS) continue to rescue the trapped and animals in the suddenly flooded areas.
“Residents of the Kherson district, if you evacuate, do not neglect your pets: do not leave them on a leash, remove them from their cages or take them with you if possible. “Give the feathered ones a chance at salvation.”
LAND MINES ARE FLOATING ON THE WATER
The Interior Ministry stated that it had evacuated 1,339 people as of 4:00 p.m., making the statement: “According to preliminary information, 13 settlements and more than 260 houses were flooded on the right bank of the Dnieper.” The DSNS teams, on the other hand, emphasized that land mines were floating in the water as a result of the flooding and stated that the public should be careful.
