Critical meeting between Azerbaijan and Armenia
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Overchuk, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Şahin Mustafayev and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan met in Moscow to discuss issues related to the restoration of transport lines between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Speaking to the press, Overçuk stated that they had a constructive meeting.
Stating that significant progress was made in opening transport links at the meeting, Overçuk said: “General agreement was reached on the implementation of concrete steps for the restoration and organization of the rail connection, especially in Arazdeyen ( Yeraskh) – Julfa-Mehri-Horadiz route.” he used his knowledge.
Overçuk said that a report on the results of the meeting will be submitted to the heads of state and that they agreed to continue the tripartite talks at the level of deputy prime ministers.
The Arazdeyen (Yeraskh)-Julfa-Mehri-Horadiz railway line that existed during the Soviet Union was destroyed due to the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia.
