US President Biden falls disastrously on stage
Following his speech at the graduation ceremony held for the students of the US Air Force Academy in Colorado, US President Joe Biden after handing out the diplomas to the students , stumbled on the stage and fell to the ground.
At the event, which was attended by students, their families and military leaders, Biden was seen slipping and falling to his knees onstage as he returned to sit in Biden’s chair after handing over his diploma to a student.
Biden got to his feet with the help of his bodyguards and the Air Force officer onstage. By pointing to something that was lying on the ground after standing up, Biden seems to imply that his foot got stuck there.
No official statement has yet been made from the White House on the 80-year-old Biden’s condition.
White House communications coordinator Ben LaBolt shared on Twitter that Biden was doing well and there was a punching bag on the stage when the president shook hands. (AA)
