Trump Rival Launches Election Campaign
Speaking on the campaign trail, DeSantis said, referring to US President Joe Biden’s 37-year tenure as a Delaware senator: “It’s great to report that the campaign for Great America’s comeback tour began with the knowledge that We were going to send Biden back to his basement in Delaware.”
DeSantis claimed that the United States was “moving in the wrong direction” and that issues that concerned the country, such as illegal border crossings with Mexico and the debt ceiling crisis, confirmed this.
“The fall of the United States is not inevitable,” DeSantis said. “This is an election and we must choose a new direction for our country,” he said.
The Republican presidential candidate DeSantis will carry out a four-day campaign in 12 cities in the states of Iowa, New Hampshire and Carolina of the South, under the name of “Great America’s Comeback Tour”.
DeSantis, who served in the United States House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018, is known for his closeness with Donald Trump.
During his tenure as Florida’s governor since 2019, DeSantis has stood out with his steps appealing to conservative voters in national politics.
DeSantis, who signed the bills that limit the need for vaccination, abortion and the arrival of irregular immigrants, came to the agenda with the termination of the autonomy of the Walt Disney World entertainment center.
