Fire in 7-story building in Australia
A massive fire broke out today in a 7-story building in the Surry Hills area of Sydney, Australia.
Firefighters said they gave a level 10 alarm, the most severe type of fire, noting that the building began to collapse with the damage it received and the flames spread to the adjoining building. While no statement has been made on the dead or injured, more than 100 firefighters were claimed to have responded to the blaze.
The officials, who claimed that both buildings were completely damaged, gave the following statements in their statement:
“20 fire trucks and more than 100 firefighters from multiple stations continue to work to put out the fires in two buildings on Randle Street. At this stage, both affected buildings are considered empty. Firefighters continue to extinguish smaller fires that threaten to spread to surrounding buildings, including residences.” (DHA)
