It has been revealed that Brueckner, who has a history of sexually abusing a minor, was transferred to his country of Germany after being jailed for sexually assaulting a woman in Portugal in 2005.
In 2008, a search was conducted around the lake for the current dam of 3-year-old Madeleine, who disappeared on May 3, 2007 while vacationing with her family at the Praia da Luz resort and was never heard from again. Although many searches have been carried out at different points regarding the incident, no results have been returned so far. (AA)
