Pollen crisis in France: red alert in 81 regions
Due to the increase in the concentration of pollen in the air in France, 81 regions received a “red alert” for allergic conditions.
According to a statement from the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), pollen has begun to take effect in most of the country. Faced with the risk of pollen causing allergic conditions, a medium-level “yellow alert” was issued in the north and northwest regions, while the highest level of “red alert” was set in 81 regions where the risk is high.
The RNSA announced that the risk of allergies has increased in these areas.
Particularly in spring, the pollen that mixes with the air through plants and flowers can cause many allergic diseases, especially respiratory. According to the RNSA, 25 percent of the population in France suffers from allergic respiratory diseases. Among the main triggers of these diseases is pollen.
In the graph that it shared on Twitter, the institution made recommendations such as washing your hair to prevent allergies to pollen, not drying clothes in the open air, airing the environment in the morning and at night, avoiding substances such as cigarettes and perfumes that aggravate allergies, and not going out often.
