Russia: Azerbaijan and Armenia came closer to a common understanding on a peace agreement
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov made a statement to the press after his trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in the capital Moscow .
Stating that he had separate meetings with Bayramov and Mirzoyan before the trilateral meeting, Lavrov claimed that they discussed the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Lavrov also stated that they discussed the issue of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, adding:
“The parties have started working on this agreement and this agreement is being consulted with the participation of other mediating countries. The ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan went to Washington. The leaders of the two countries also went to Brussels a week ago. Of course, the work on the peace agreement is the main basis. However, our partners reaffirmed today that it is difficult to act on certain aspects of the peace agreement without resolving border delimitation issues, removing barriers to transportation and economic ties, and improving the security situation in Karabakh and the Armenian-Armenian border. Azerbaijan”.

Sharing the information that a meeting of the tripartite group on transport links will be held next week under the chairmanship of the deputy prime ministers, Lavrov shared his hope that a positive outcome will be achieved at the meeting.

With the participation of the Russian Federation as a consultant, it was agreed to organize a meeting of the bilateral commission on the determination of borders.
