They open an investigation into posters that show Macron compared to Hitler
According to French press reports, in the southern city of Avignon, posters depicting Macron as Hitler were pasted on many billboards at night connecting Wednesday with Thursday.
Avignon City Hall has demanded that posters showing Macron’s face with the words “49.3” and a Hitler-like mustache be removed.
The text “49.3” recalls paragraph 3 of article 49 of the Constitution, which the government put into effect so that the pension reform was approved without a vote in parliament.
The posters in question are the same graffiti that the graffiti artist nicknamed Lekto painted last month of Macron as Hitler on the wall of a building.

Lekto also shared a graffiti on his Instagram page, where he portrayed Macron as Hitler, last month.
The Avignon Prosecutor’s Office yesterday opened an investigation into the posters for “publicly insulting the president” and “inciting riots.”
In April, Lekto painted Macron as Hitler on the wall of a building in Avignon. The graffiti was then covered with white paint. (AA)
