Italy flood death toll rises
The number of victims is increasing due to the disaster of the floods caused by the rains that were felt in the region at the beginning of the week.
According to information cited by the Italian news agency ANSA to local authorities, the death toll from the flood rose to 13.
He specified that the number of towns affected by the flood increased to 42, 10,000 people had to leave their homes and 34,000 homes could not be supplied with electricity.
At some points, it was noted that army units also went to the field to help the local population and participated in the relief efforts.
Work has been reported to continue to open roads closed to transport due to flooding and landslides in the region.
Environment and Energy Security Minister Gilberto Pichetto told a radio channel that they will declare a “state of disaster” for the Emilia Romagna region, which was severely affected by flooding. (AA)
