Ukraine: Everything would be different if there was no unity
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Kuleba was connected to the “Strategic Ark” conference organized by the Polish Institute of International Relations via video conference.
Emphasizing that the war against Russia will not be won without unity, Kuleba said Ukraine must first win against Russia on its own terms.
Kuleba stated that Crimea was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014 and that “unity” could not be achieved by word and deed at that time, saying, “There is a difference between the ongoing war and 2014. At that time, unity was he kept in words and therefore Russia succeeded. Now there is also unity in action”, he said.
Expressing that Russia wanted to continue the war after the illegal annexation of Crimea, Kuleba said: “Years later, Russia started a full-scale invasion and tried to extend it to all of Ukraine. Without unity, everything would be different. Fortunately, since last year there is unity and we are all united around the common enemy. Only then can we defeat the enemy, and that is why it is so important to maintain unity”. he performed the assessment of it.
Kuleba stressed that the West should continue sanctions against Russia and that there should be unity in the new sanctions: “Ukraine is waiting for a concrete algorithm to join NATO, not a membership action plan.” he said.
“RUSSIA WANTS TO DIVIDE THE WEST”
Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau also stated that Russia wants to divide the West, saying: “Russia will only be strong against the divided West. That’s why our unity is so important, and it must be in action, not just in words.” He used the phrase.
Pointing out that Poland is seen as the party disturbing the union while wanting arms for Ukraine, Rau recalled his country’s military support for Ukraine.
Rau stressed that NATO allies should respect the struggle of the Ukrainians and express their gratitude. (AA)
