Former Brazilian President Bolsonaro testifies before police on fraud charges

It was reported that Bolsonaro, who went to the Federal Police Station in the capital Brasilia for alleged fraud in the Covid-19 vaccine certificate, was called to testify as a suspect.

Making a statement on the subject, Bolsonaro denied the allegations once again, noting that he never said he was vaccinated and provided no documents proving he had been vaccinated.

Within the framework of the investigation, it was shared that it was decided to continue with the detention of 6 people arrested on May 4.

THE ALLEGATIONS WERE DENIED

Police raided Bolsonaro’s home on May 4 and confiscated the former president’s mobile phone for allegedly falsifying a covid-19 vaccine certificate.

It has been reported that Bolsonaro, several of his relatives and advisers changed the information on the vaccination card to obtain permission to enter the United States.

In statements to journalists on the subject, the far-right Bolsonaro denied the accusations: “The accusations of changes in the vaccination certificate are absolute lies. They did not ask me for a vaccination card anywhere, nothing is wrong with me, they did not give me the vaccine, period. I have never denied that, ”he said.

In the Federal Police statement, it was noted that the people in question changed the content of their vaccination certificates and thus avoided the current sanitary restrictions imposed by Brazil and the US.

Bolsonaro, in his statement at the beginning of the epidemic, said many times that Covid-19 is a small flu and it did not seem right to restrict people for that reason. (AA)
