It is estimated that the number of people to be evacuated in Bangladesh will reach 500 thousand. Noting that the hurricane will be seen for the first time this year in the northern Indian Ocean, Rajendra Kumar Jeamani of the Indian Meteorological Service said, “The hurricane is severe and will likely affect millions of people in Myanmar and Bangladesh.”
