Ravens attack passers-by
As reported by the French channel BFMTV, the life of the elderly living in a nursing home in the region has become a nightmare for weeks.
The crows gather in the trees next to the nursing home, attacking visitors and passers-by, as well as residents. While many people who suffered from crow’s beaks sustained head injuries, some nursing home residents are taking precautions to protect themselves.
For security reasons, many pedestrian paths in the area have been closed to crossings and local police have been deployed on some paths.
Andree, a resident of a nursing home, said: “I walked 10 meters and a crow pecked me on the head. When I came back, I think the same crow hit me on the head with its beak again. My head hurt a lot and it started to bleed,” he said. Andree said that he experienced trauma after the attack.
The woman named Marie-Claude, who was attacked by the crow, also said that she came out wearing 2 hats and holding mosquito nets to protect herself.
Although it is not yet clear why the crows became aggressive, it is claimed that the attacks began after the large trees in the region were felled and the crows began to gather in the plane trees. (AA)
