Iran and Syria signed 14 cooperation agreements
According to the statement from the Iranian Presidency, after the meeting between Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi and Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus, a “Comprehensive, Long-Term and Strategic Cooperation Program” was signed between the two countries.
In addition to the agreement signed in the presence of the president and Assad, a total of 14 cooperation agreements were signed in various fields such as trade, oil, energy, housing, air and rail transport, communication and technology.
The Iranian president, who traveled to Syria with a large delegation as part of a two-day official visit at the invitation of Syrian President Assad, met with Assad at the “Palace of the People” in Damascus today at noon.
It is the first Iranian presidential visit to Syria in 13 years. Finally, in October 2010, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited this country and met with Assad in Damascus. (AA)
