Army and HDK declare ceasefire again in Sudan
In a statement from the HDK, it was reported that the humanitarian ceasefire was extended for 3 more days from midnight, in order to open humanitarian corridors to regional and international calls, facilitate the movement of citizens, attend to their needs and allow them to reach safe places.
The military also announced that they have decided to extend the ceasefire for another 72 hours, thanks to the efforts of Saudi Arabia and the United States.
Despite the ceasefire that began on the night of April 28, clashes between the army and the HDK continued in Sudan at different points in the capital, Khartoum. Both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
THE SUDAN ARMY blamed HDK
The army accused the HDK of turning a hospital, including intensive care ones, into a military barracks in the town of Åžarku Nile, by evacuating it and filling it with ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Sudan Civil Aviation Authority announced that the decision to close the airspace, except for humanitarian aid and evacuation flights, has been extended until May 13.
