13-year-old boy who stopped the bus whose driver passed out became a hero
in Warren, Michigan, USA Carter Middle School student Dillon Reeves (13) saved the lives of the school bus driver and 66 students who lost consciousness while behind the wheel.
Realizing that the school bus driver had passed out at the wheel while the vehicle was in motion, Dillon quickly reached the driver’s section and slowed the passing bus in the opposite lane and brought it to a stop in a safe area. He then asked his friends on the bus to call the ambulance.

HE ANNOUNCED A HERO IN HIS COUNTRY
Police sent a letter praising Dillon’s heroic act to the school administration as a result of their investigation by examining security camera footage.
The letter states: “A quick-thinking seventh grader, seeing the distraught driver, approached the front of the bus and helped him to a stop without incident. The behavior of the student who helped stop the bus made a world of difference today and we couldn’t be more proud of his efforts.” statements were included.
Warren City Police held a press conference yesterday to thank Dillon and his family as the incident was covered in the press. No information was provided as to why the driver passed out.
