Israeli soldiers storm Jenin refugee camp
Israeli soldiers raided the Jenin refugee camp, located in the northern occupied West Bank, for an unknown reason.
According to local sources, clashes broke out between Israeli forces and armed Palestinian groups during the raid. While Israel sent reinforcements to parts of the camp after the fact, the Palestinians responded by opening fire and using hand-made explosives.
The Izzeddin Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, made a written statement on the events.
The statement read: “Our mujahideen come face to face with the occupation forces around the Jenin refugee camp and attack the occupation army with heavy bullets and explosives.” expressions were used.
The Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also stated in its statement: “The occupation forces are firing heavily around the camp.”
The Israeli army has yet to comment on the incident.
Israeli forces have recently been attacking several towns in the occupied West Bank and detaining Palestinians. In addition to rubber bullets, clashes break out between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian groups, who frequently use live bullets against Palestinians protesting the attacks, especially in areas like Jenin and Nablus.
