They capture high school students who threw stones at cars
Three high school students were arrested in the US state of Colorado, who threw rocks at cars, killing one person.
In a statement released by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects, whose stone-throwing stones killed a woman named Alexa Bartell and injured some drivers, were reportedly taken into custody at their homes.
Authorities said the suspects in custody were 18-year-old high school students and all faced first-degree murder charges.
Jefferson police shared information that rocks thrown by youths who killed 20-year-old Bartell that same night also struck seven vehicles and injured two people. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Jacki Kelley said the suspects were identified through “cell phone forensic investigations and supporting information from the public.”
Alexa Bartell was killed in an accident the night of April 19, when a rock struck her windshield while she was driving in Jefferson County. (AA)
