Sudan announces 512 deaths

In the statement issued by the ministry, it was indicated that 4,193 people were injured in the clashes. It was reported that in Khartoum alone, 169 people were killed, 2,403 people were injured during this period, and talks were held with the parties to stay away from hospitals and health centers.

It was noted that some hospitals resumed operation after their closure, and that this was done in coordination with the World Health Organization and various organizations that operate in the country in terms of drug supply and disease control.

72 PERCENT OF HOSPITALS DO NOT CARE

The Sudanese Doctors Union, on the other hand, announced that 72 percent of hospitals in regions close to the conflict line have stopped working.

In the statement published on the union’s Facebook account, “59 of 82 hospitals in the capital and states are out of service.” It was said.

The union reported that 14 hospitals were shelled and 19 hospitals were forcibly evacuated.

Armed clashes broke out between the Sudanese army and the HDK paramilitary force on the morning of April 15 in the Sudanese capital Khartoum and other cities.

The disagreement between the army and the HDK over the military security reform, which provides for the “full participation of the HDK in the army”, had become a hot-button conflict in recent months. (AA)
