Protests were staged in around 100 locations across the country, the largest in Tel Aviv. Saturday’s demonstrations take place ahead of the week of Israel’s 75th anniversary. The festivities are expected to be overshadowed by further protests.

The protests continue despite Netanyahu announcing on March 27 that he will not implement the legal reforms he wants for now. According to protesters, the prime minister wants to limit the influence of the country’s Supreme Court and expand the government’s power.
