According to the images shared on social networks, a large group of parents and students gathered in front of the Directorate of Education in the city of ÅžahinÅŸehr in the province of Isfahan, in protest against the cases of poisoning that occurred in schools. It was seen that the security forces intervened with tear gas at the group, which reacted to the lack of prevention of cases of mass poisoning and shouted slogans against the authorities.
Since November 30, 2022, there have been cases of mass poisoning in schools in Iran, where mostly female students are educated. Thousands of students have been poisoned in hundreds of schools across the country so far.
Iran’s leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said in a statement on March 6, as public anxiety mounted, that he had instructed authorities to take the incident seriously and punish the perpetrators with the most severe punishment. .
