Disgrace in kindergarten: 2-year-old boy tied to a chair
The images taken at the Kids Villa Learning Center kindergarten in Germantown, Maryland, USA, caused a great reaction.
Footage taken during a birthday party shows a 2-year-old boy named Sean tied to his chair with a towel.
It was alleged that the boy was tied to the chair with a towel because he was misbehaving.
Seeing Sean in this state in the video, which was removed shortly after it was posted on the kindergarten’s official website, his grandmother Ruby Campbell said: “I was shocked the first time I saw the video. When I spoke to the employees there, they told me that they tied me up because I didn’t behave. “There is no way my grandson would behave any differently than a normal 2.5 year old.”
The enraged grandmother said: “The video shows the other children standing up and moving. He is not a naughty boy. When I showed this video to the school principal, she said that he couldn’t believe his eyes.
Two teachers were said to have been suspended after the scandal broke, while Sean was also enrolled in another kindergarten.
While the Campbell family said they went to the police and complained about the incident, the police refused the request for an investigation on the grounds that “the child was not injured”.
