Former President Donald Trump was questioned for seven hours Thursday by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The questioning took place behind closed doors and no announcement has yet been made as to what exactly was being discussed. Trump was prosecuted on fraud charges.
Trump allegedly exaggerated the value of his family business by billions of dollars. With this he would have illegally received about 250 million dollars from banks and insurance companies, according to James. Unlike an initial hearing in the case, Trump has not invoked his right to silence this time around. According to Trump’s attorney, he answered all of the attorney general’s questions.
Children
Three of Trump’s children are also on trial. Among other things, James wants to impose a permanent ban on them from owning companies in New York. Trump was also in New York on April 4 to be heard in a case over secret money he allegedly paid a porn actress for a sexual relationship they allegedly had.
