Another arrest warrant for Putin

Another arrest warrant for Putin

The Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Austrian Constitution and European Union (EU) Minister Karoline Edtstadler’s remarks to the German newspaper Tagesspiegel yesterday that “Putin will be arrested if he enters Austria.”

The statement confirmed that Russian President Putin will be arrested if he travels to Austria.

“THIS APPLIES TO PUTIN”

“No one is above the law. All crimes must be clarified without leaving a loophole, they cannot go unpunished.” In the statement, it was emphasized that Austria, like other countries, is obliged to implement the decisions made by the International Criminal Court.

“This means enforcing the Court’s arrest warrant and detaining the wanted person,” the statement said. This, of course, also applies to President Putin.” It was said.

However, it was also noted that Putin will not run this risk by traveling to 123 member countries subject to the court. (AA)
