Disciplinary review to be held at state-owned enterprises in China

According to the Xinhua report, the CPC Central Committee has assigned 15 inspection teams to conduct investigations at 30 central government-affiliated companies, 5 financial institutions and the China General Administration of Sports.

The committee’s statement said the inspections were “aimed at uncovering contradictions and key issues that hinder high-quality development in state-owned enterprises, solving key problems in the financial sector, and addressing corruption and deep institutional problems in sports.”

In the statement, it was noted that the inspection teams will carry out studies for 1.5 to 2.5 months depending on the type of investigation in the relevant institutions and organizations, and during this period telephone lines and email addresses will be opened to report possible disciplinary offenses by party officials.

Disciplinary investigations for suspected corruption and misconduct in China are conducted by the Central Committee for Disciplinary Investigation (MDIK), one of the CCP’s organs. (AA)
