Tension in Masjid al-Aqsa: TikTok clown controversy
Lapid made a statement to Israel Radio about increased tension at Masjid al-Aqsa in occupied East Jerusalem due to successive raids and attacks by Israeli police in recent days.
Lapid, who attributes the violence of the Israeli police against the Itikaf in Aksa to the “irresponsibility of the government”, said: “This is what will happen if this place falls under the responsibility of the most extremist person in the state of Israel.”
Former Prime Minister Lapid used the phrase “The TikTok clown’s only wish is to set the Middle East on fire” for Israel’s National Security Minister Ben-Gvir.
The disproportionate use of force by Israeli police against Muslims at Masjid al-Aqsa for two nights in a row, using sound bombs, rubber bullets and batons, escalated tension in occupied East Jerusalem and heightened tension in the West Bank .
Israeli police intervened and did not allow Palestinian youths who were trying to reach the Al-Aqsa Mosque to pray in the early hours of the morning to enter. Palestinian youths, who were not allowed to enter, held morning prayers around Masjid al-Aqsa. Later, fanatical Jewish settlers stormed the courtyard of Masjid al-Aqsa under the protection of Israeli forces.
THE VOLTAGE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO LISTEN
During the Festival of Passover (Passover) from April 5 to 13, fanatical Jews increased their calls for raids on Aqsa.
During this period, Palestinians, expecting an attack, called Muslims to I’tikaf at Masjid al-Aqsa during Ramadan.
Fifteen fanatical Jewish rabbis also wrote letters to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
In the letter, the rabbis, who called on Netanyahu and Ben-Gvir to allow Jewish settlers to sacrifice at Masjid al-Aqsa on Pesach, offered a reward of $5,500 to those who managed to sacrifice. (AA)
