War movement from Ukraine: mines and trenches
Lieutenant General Sergey Naev, who is in charge of the Ukrainian army, gave information about the activities.
“The situation in the northern operational zone is stable and under control,” Naev said. Our soldiers do many things to strengthen our borders. The expansion of the barrier system continues, especially in the border regions with Belarus and Russia. “Anti-tank minefields are being created in areas where tanks can enter and in places like roads, fringes of forest, bridges, power lines, where the enemy can advance deep into our territory,” he said.
Saying that more than 6,000 anti-tank mines have been laid in the region and dozens of minefields have been equipped, Naev said: “More than 7,000 meters of anti-tank trenches and trenches have been dug.”
RUSSIA TACTICAL NUCLEAR WEAPONS PLAN
Russia recently announced its plan for the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory.
The plan in question provoked the reaction of the Western and Ukrainian authorities. Also last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin met Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in the capital Moscow.
