The tension does not diminish in Jerusalem: the Israeli police intervened Palestinian youth
According to information received from eyewitnesses, the Israeli police took intense security measures in the Old City area of East Jerusalem.
The Israeli police, who installed iron barriers at different points, did not allow young people to enter the Masjid al-Aqsa. The police prevented many young Palestinians from approaching the gates of the Masjid al-Aqsa, intervening with batons, especially in the area of the Al-Esbat (Lion) Gate of the Masjid al-Aqsa.
After the Israeli police intervened in the group, it was seen that there was a brawl. Palestinian youths, who were not allowed to enter, performed morning prayers around Masjid al-Aqsa.
The disproportionate use of force by the Israeli police against Muslims at Masjid al-Aqsa with sound bombs, rubber-coated bullets and batons for two nights in a row heightened tension in occupied East Jerusalem and heightened tension in the West Bank. (AA)
