North Korea has conducted another nuclear submarine test. This was reported by Reuters based on North Korean media. It is yet another attempt by North Korea to intimidate the United States and South Korea.
Where the Haeil-1 drone was tested last week, the Haeil-2 was tested today. The name refers to the Korean translation of the word tsunami, and the drones are meant to carry out stealth attacks in enemy waters.
According to analysts, North Korea is gradually trying to showcase its nuclear arsenal, even if they dare to doubt whether drones are actually suitable for deployment. However, North Korean state media KCNA says that during the test – which lasted from April 4 to 7 – the drone traveled more than 1,000 kilometers underwater and was submerged for more than 71 hours at a time.
Mortal
In addition, they practiced hitting moving targets, which was successful, according to North Korea. “The test clearly shows how reliable our underwater system is and how deadly it can be,” KCNA said.
In recent weeks, North Korea has shown exponentially increased military activity, in protest against the intensification of cooperation and exercises that South Korea and the United States are conducting.
