Peskov, in the capital Moscow, made remarks to reporters on the agenda.
Responding to the question about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalın, Peskov said: “Indeed, there was such a meeting. The issue of carrying out large projects that are on the agenda of our countries, including Akkuyu, was discussed.

Peskov responded to Putin’s question about whether he would attend a ceremony at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) on April 27, due to the arrival of new nuclear fuel at the plant and obtaining status of “nuclear plant”. and he replied: “Russia will be adequately represented at this ceremony.”

Regarding NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s remarks that “Russia has made empty promises about nuclear weapons and its actions must be carefully followed,” Peskov said, “NATO is expanding towards Russian borders. It is not Russia that is approaching the NATO borders with its military infrastructure. This movement is causing us anguish and concern for our safety. “Every time NATO approaches our borders, we take the necessary measures to guarantee our security,” he said.

Mentioning Serbia’s military exercise with NATO countries, Peskov stated that they will follow it carefully, saying: “Attempts are constantly being made to bring Serbia to the side of those who show positions against Russia. Belgrade is under unprecedented and terrible pressure,” he said.

Spokesman Peskov also assessed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s statement that “the border between Ukraine and Poland will be raised in the future” and said: “If Zelenskiy means Poland’s capture of Ukraine, it is necessary to understand this. This is not well understood,” he said. (AA)
