5 people die in USA by tornado
According to a statement from Bollinger County Sheriff Casey Graham and state officials, the St. Louis tornado, which struck 50 miles south of the city of St. Louis, killed 5 people according to early determinations, and left large debris.
Trees were reportedly uprooted with the violence of the tornado, and the facades and roofs of houses were blown to pieces.
In the state where search and rescue efforts continue, the tornado was recorded to have remained on the ground for about 30 kilometers before rising into the sky and destroying everything in its path during this time.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson shared the information that he participated in the rescue efforts with emergency personnel, saying, “We have confirmed the information that there are casualties and injuries due to the hurricane in Bollinger County.”
The Missouri State Highway Police also shared the drone footage revealing the tornado damage on Twitter and advised citizens to stay away from the dangerous area to avoid further loss of life.
The National Weather Service stated that the high-damage tornado was traveling at approximately 210 kilometers per hour. (AA)
