Zelensky: Russia cannot beat Europe if Ukraine and Poland stand shoulder to shoulder
Ukraine’s President Zelenskiy addressed the public in the city center of Warsaw, where he paid an official visit.
Stating that Poland’s military support greatly helped Ukraine and contributed to its freedom, Zelenskiy said: “Our freedom also strengthens your freedom.” he used the phrase.
Zelenskiy thanked the Polish people and rulers for their hospitable attitude towards Ukrainians, saying: “If Ukraine and Poland stand shoulder to shoulder, Russia cannot beat Europe.” saying.
Noting that the Poles and the Ukrainians have known each other for a long time, Zelenskiy said: “Now we are approaching a glorious victory, hand in hand, united in the spirit of freedom.” he said.
“POLAND IS A COUNTRY OF SOLIDARITY”
Polish President Andrzej Duda also said that the only thing that should be demanded of Russia is its full withdrawal from Ukrainian territory.
Noting that there will be no negotiations on the lives of Ukrainians, Duda said: “Today we are sending a clear message to Moscow, the Kremlin; “You will not be able to divide us.” saying.
Duda stated that Poland and Ukrainians are connected by a common history of hundreds of years and said:
“When it was necessary, as Poles, we extended a hand to our brothers in need. We opened our hearts and immediately ran to help. Thank you for this great civic, universal solidarity. Poland is a country of solidarity. There is no time to lose. That is why we supply tanks, armored personnel carriers, howitzers and planes to Ukraine. We set an example for other countries and sometimes we break their resistance to arms supplies.”
AGREEMENTS BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES
Meeting before the public speech, Zelenskiy and Polish officials compromised on various issues and signed agreements.
President Duda reminded that Poland has sent 8 Soviet-made “MIG-29” type combat aircraft to Ukraine so far, noting that 6 more aircraft will be sent.
