‘More and more Russian soldiers en route to war zone’ Related articles

With the slow onset of spring, both Russia and Ukraine are preparing for a mutual offensive during the war. “More and more Russian soldiers are heading towards the war zone,” says foreign commentator Bernard Hammelburg.

However, according to Hammelburg, the question is whether Russia will send the army to launch an offensive itself, or whether the troops will entrench against a Ukrainian offensive. The fact that the offensive is still delayed has to do with the weather conditions, says the foreign commentator. “It’s still damp and cold, so it’s not a good idea to stick with large equipment.”

Drone attacks

Hammelburg also points out that the offensive could take other forms. “The traditional representation is that a front is advancing on the ground, but other forms of attack are also constantly being seen, such as with drones.”

Hammelburg refers to the drone attacks on Odessa by the Russian side. This morning 17 drones were fired at the coastal Ukrainian city. Of these, Ukraine was able to intercept fourteen. However, that didn’t stop the damage from happening. “You could say that this too is part of a new offensive,” says Hammelburg.
