Derailed train in the Netherlands: there are dead and injured
Holland woke up with a terrible train accident… Last night, the train that was traveling near The Hague derailed when it collided with construction materials that were on the rails.
It was claimed that at least 1 person was killed and 30 people were injured in the accident that occurred near the village of Voorschoten.
While it was claimed that there were 50 people on the train, most of the injured were recorded as being in serious condition.
Officials involved in the search and rescue efforts announced that 19 people were hospitalized. It was noted that the other injured were being treated at the scene.
Local media reported that the train was about to leave the city of Leiden for The Hague, and it was announced that flames rose in the carriage, which derailed and overturned. Due to the accident, flights between Leiden and The Hague were stopped.
