2 Blackhawk helicopters crash in the US

In Kentucky, United States, 2 HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters belonging to the 101st Airborne Division crashed during a training flight.

According to a written statement from Fort Campbell, the military base to which the 101st Airborne Division is attached, 2 helicopters belonging to the division crashed in the Trigg region of Kentucky at around 10:00 p.m. local time.

“At the time of the incident, the crew was flying 2 HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters during a routine training mission,” the statement said. So far the status of the crew is unknown. The forces are currently focusing on caring for the soldiers and their families. More information will be shared as it becomes available. The incident is under investigation,” he said.

THE AUTHORITIES ARE OF INTERVENTION

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said in a statement about the incident on his social media account: “We have sad news from Fort Campbell that a helicopter crash has occurred and there may be fatalities. State police, the state emergency unit and local authorities are responding to the situation. We will share as we learn more. Pray for all those affected by the incident.” (DHA)
