2 Blackhawk helicopters crash in the US
In Kentucky, United States, 2 HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters belonging to the 101st Airborne Division crashed during a training flight.
According to a written statement from Fort Campbell, the military base to which the 101st Airborne Division is attached, 2 helicopters belonging to the division crashed in the Trigg region of Kentucky at around 10:00 p.m. local time.
“At the time of the incident, the crew was flying 2 HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters during a routine training mission,” the statement said. So far the status of the crew is unknown. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said in a statement about the incident on his social media account: “We have sad news from Fort Campbell that a helicopter crash has occurred and there may be fatalities.
