Biden calls Putin’s plan for nuclear weapons in Belarus “dangerous”.

02:30 | US President Joe Biden labeled Russian President Vladimir Putin’s plan announced on Saturday to plant nuclear weapons in neighboring Belarus as “dangerous” talk. “This is a dangerous way of speaking and it’s troubling,” Biden said.

According to US officials, there are still no signs that Russia has actually transferred nuclear weapons to Belarus. “They haven’t done it yet,” Biden agreed.

On Sunday, NATO called Russia’s plans “dangerous and irresponsible”. Putin stressed that the United States has also planted nuclear weapons in other countries, especially with NATO allies in Europe.
