Russian troops launch mobile exercises with nuclear weapons
05:15 | Russia’s strategic forces have launched exercises with Yars-type mobile nuclear ICBM systems, the Russian Defense Ministry reports on Telegram. In total, more than 3,000 soldiers and about 300 pieces of equipment are involved in the exercises.
The maneuvers are underway in three regions of Russia, state news agency RIA reports, without naming those regions. The camouflage of missile systems and the combat of modern aerial reconnaissance equipment, such as drones, are also practiced.
Biden calls Putin’s plan for nuclear weapons in Belarus “dangerous”.

According to US officials, there are still no signs that Russia has actually transferred nuclear weapons to Belarus. “They haven’t done it yet,” Biden agreed.
On Sunday, NATO called Russia’s plans “dangerous and irresponsible”. Putin stressed that the United States has also planted nuclear weapons in other countries, especially with NATO allies in Europe.
