Knife attack at school in Brazil
A 13-year-old student attacked a physical education teacher at a public school named Thomazia Montroro.
Professor Elisabeth Tenreiro, 71, lost her life in the attack, while 3 teachers and 1 student were injured while trying to stop the attacker.
It was reported that Tenreiro was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but died in the hospital.
It was shared that the attacker was neutralized by other teachers and handed over to the police. Sao Paulo police opened an investigation into the attack.
13-year-old boy arrested
Sao Paulo Governor Tarcisio de Freitas said on his social media account: “I am deeply saddened by the news of the attack on students and teachers, I cannot find the words to say.” The 13-year-old boy has been arrested and all our efforts are to help the injured.” he made a statement.
Local media reported that the attacker had a fight with some of his friends last week.
