Anti-Putin Russian opposition leader: I was poisoned
Elvira Vikhareva, one of Russia’s opposition politicians, said she had severe stomach pains, muscle spasms and hair loss for months, accusing Vladimir Putin’s government of poisoning her.

The 32-year-old Russian opposition leader, known for his harsh statements about the invasion of Ukraine, claimed he had highly poisonous potassium bichromate in his blood, and his complaints increased from November to February. Sharing the results of the blood test on the Russian news site Soya, Vikhareva said that she did not report the police because she knew full well that the authorities would not help an anti-war person.
Seeing the test results, Vikhareva asked the doctors: “How did you survive?” she also said her. Noting that he hoped his survival would upset those who poisoned him, the opposition figure declared that he would stay in Russia and continue the fight despite threats.
It should be noted that Vikhareva has not been seen in front of the cameras recently due to the change in her physical appearance due to the poison.

Potassium dichromate, used in photography and woodworking, is known to be a very dangerous substance that can cause organ failure, cancer, and difficulty breathing, and can be fatal when it comes in contact with the skin.
POISONED RUSSIAN OPPONENTS
In Russia, allegations have surfaced that many opposition figures were poisoned by the Putin government in previous years. Aleksey Navani, one of Putin’s main opponents and still in prison, was treated in Germany for suspected novicok poisoning in 2020 and was detained upon his return to Russia.
One of the most notable names poisoned was former KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko. Litvinenko, who later joined the opposition in Russia, was poisoned with polonium in London in 2006 and died.
The European Court of Human Rights held the Kremlin responsible for Litvinenko’s death in 2021, and Britain argued that the assassination order was given by Putin himself.
