Russian warning to England: test uranium munitions on your own island
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova made remarks on the items on the agenda at her weekly press conference in the capital Moscow.
Assessing the statement that “Britain will send weakened uranium munitions to Ukraine,” Zaharova said, “London can try to solve this problem on its own island first. They used this ‘standard’ weapon all along. There you have the opportunity to do such experiments. Feel the deadly consequences first and then send them to others.” she used the phrase.
Emphasizing that the effects of using such munitions cannot be kept under control, Zaharova recalled that accidents occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine in 1986 and at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant in Japan in 2011.
“WE WILL HAVE TO GIVE THE NECESSARY ANSWER REGARDING SANCTIONS”
Referring to Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Niku Popesku’s statement that they will join the sanctions imposed by the European Union (EU) against Russia, Zaharova said: “These steps of the EU did not go unchallenged. If Chisinau joins these sanctions, we will have to give Moldova the necessary response. This will not be our choice, it will be a response to hostile steps.” she used her statements.
Sharing the hope that the talks will be held in a tripartite format between Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan as soon as possible, Zaharova noted that they are ready to support this issue. (AA)
