Campaign to save the loneliest gorilla in the world

The petition launched on the Change.org website to keep Bua Noi free reached 120,000 signatures.

The website emphasized that if the signatures reached 150,000, it would be one of the campaigns with the highest number of signatures.

GORILLES ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS

PETA, a non-governmental organization that aims to protect animals, stated in its Bua Noi briefing statement last year that these types of gorillas are social animals that thrive with other members of their species.

Activists around the world, including singer Cher and actress Gillian Anderson, have long campaigned for Bua Noi to be removed from the zoo, but to no avail. (DHA)
