Croatian Prime Minister commented on the ICC decision
In a statement to reporters in Zagreb, Plenkovic noted that the ICC decision was an expected situation, saying: “Taking into account the ‘brutality’ that has been going on in Ukraine for more than a year, such a decision was expected. “I think this is just the beginning,” he said.
Stating that he believes the decision was meticulously prepared, Plenkovic noted that he was not surprised by this. Plenkovic stated that he believes it is “only a matter of time to collect enough evidence about other crimes committed.”
ICC HAS APPROXIMATE DECISION
As part of its investigation into crimes committed in Ukraine, the ICC announced on March 17 that an arrest warrant had been issued for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia’s Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova for crimes of war.
In justifying the decision, the ICC claimed that Putin and Lvova-Belova were responsible for the abduction of Ukrainian children to Russia during the Russia-Ukraine War.
Russia, which withdrew from the court after the court’s 2016 decision that described the annexation of Crimea as a “violation of Ukrainian territory”, declared the decision legally invalid.
After the verdict, Putin went to the Ukrainian city of Maripol, where the war is still raging, and gave the message that he did not recognize the court’s decision. (AA)
